[Dispatch=Park Hye-jin Reporter] Singer-songwriter Kim Dong-ryul will hold a solo concert this fall. For the first time since his debut, he will showcase a band sound without an orchestra.

Kim Dong-ryul will meet fans in October with the concert "Old Songs." He has presented grand stages with orchestras since his time in Jambinai.

This time, without an orchestra, he focuses entirely on band arrangements and his voice itself. On the 25th, Kim Dong-ryul said on SNS, "This performance is a bit special," adding "Actually, I'm very curious about it too."

He continued, "Performing with full orchestration was my dream, and I achieved that dream. It has become the signature of my performances. Still, I wanted to try a performance with a somewhat simpler composition, stepping away from my typical performance style at least once," he revealed.

He added, "This might be a more difficult challenge for me, but I wanted to muster the courage to try it before it's too late."

He plans to unveil hidden gems in a small-scale style. Kim Dong-ryul said, "I wanted to take out songs that I couldn't often perform on stage and sing them after a long time."

The live performance by his dedicated band "Yul Band" is anticipated. "I also wanted to try various stage production techniques," he said, "For some people it may be unfamiliar, and that's what will make it appeal even more to their taste."

He said, "If you are people who preferred album tracks over my hit songs, or if you enjoyed the 2019 'Old Songs' concert, please look forward to this performance."

Since the 2000s, Kim Dong-ryul has spanned all generations with storytelling concerts including "Invitation," "Monologue," "Gratitude," "The Concert," "Old Songs," "Melody," and "Stroll." In particular, last year's "Stroll" drew approximately 70,000 audience members.
