[Dispatch=Lee Ajin Reporter] Actor Rupert Grint returns as 'Ron Weasley.'
The play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" announced on the 27th that "Rupert Grint will join the play in the role of Ron Weasley."
It marks his return after approximately 15 years. Grint parted ways with the role of Ron Weasley after the 2011 film "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2." This time, he will play Ron as a middle-aged man.
"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" is a sequel to the "Harry Potter" series. It had its premiere in London's West End in 2016 and has continued performances around the world, including on Broadway in America.
The play is set 19 years after "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." It centers on the story unfolding around Albus Severus Potter, the son of Harry Potter.
The play also features Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, who sent their children to Hogwarts, as well as Hermione Granger. Grint will play Ron, now head of household after marrying Hermione.
Meanwhile, Rupert Grint will take the stage beginning February 2 next year.
