[Dispatch=Reporter Jung Tae-yun] The film "Odyssey" (directed by Christopher Nolan) surpassed 9 million viewers 27 days after its release.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated movie ticket system, "Odyssey" exceeded 9 million cumulative viewers as of 6:03 p.m. on the 31st.

It surpassed 6 million on the 17th day of release → 7 million on the 19th day → 8 million on the 24th day. And it achieved 9 million viewers in four days.

Following "Avatar: The Way of Water," it has become the second foreign film to surpass 9 million viewers domestically since the pandemic.

It did so three days faster than "Avatar: The Way of Water" (30 days after release). It has surpassed the final scores of all the top-grossing foreign films of each year over the past three years.

The box office momentum has not cooled even in the fifth week of release. It has not only recorded first place at the weekend box office for four consecutive weeks, but is also maintaining its number one advance reservation rate.

As of 7:35 p.m. today, "Odyssey" is leading with an overwhelming 60.8% advance reservation rate at first place. The upcoming film "Assassin(s)" is in second place with 8.2%.
