[Dispatch=Reporter Jeong Tae-yoon] The film "Odyssey" (directed by Christopher Nolan) surpassed 9 million moviegoers just 27 days after its release.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated cinema ticket system, "Odyssey" exceeded 9 million cumulative viewers as of 6:03 p.m. on the 31st.

It surpassed 6 million on day 17 of release → 7 million on day 19 → 8 million on day 24. And it achieved 9 million viewers in four days.

Following "Avatar: The Way of Water" since the pandemic, it became the second foreign film to surpass 9 million viewers in Korea.

It is three days faster than "Avatar: The Way of Water" (on its 30th day of release). It has surpassed the final box office records of top-grossing foreign films from each year over the past three years.

The momentum continues into the fifth week of release. It has maintained first place at the weekend box office for four consecutive weeks and continues to hold the top advance ticket reservation rate.

As of 7:35 p.m. today, "Odyssey" leads overwhelmingly with a 60.8% advance ticket reservation rate at first place. The upcoming release "Assassin(s)" is in second with 8.2%.
