[Dispatch=Lee Myeong-ju Reporter] Actor Ha Young will exit the sequel to "Trauma Center."

A Netflix representative stated on the 1st to "Dispatch," "Ha Young has decided not to appear in the sequel to Trauma Center," adding "we respected the actor's position."

Ha Young had agreed to appear in the sequel as Season 1 of "Trauma Center" was a commercial success. However, as family controversies continued, she solidified her decision to exit.

This incident stemmed from a variety show program in which Ha Young appeared. Her great-grandfather's past pro-Japanese collaboration record came to light while mentioning a four-generation family of doctors.

Her great-grandfather is Ahn Sang-ho. He was the first to pass the Japanese medical exam and provided medical care to Sunjong and Kojong. After marrying a Japanese woman and returning to the country, he worked as a private practitioner.

He also left behind various pro-Japanese activities. He served as a councilor at the Taejong Friendship Society, a pro-Japanese organization created by Yi Wan-yong and others. His name also appeared on the list of the Ito Hirobumi Memorial Preparation Committee.

Notably, he cooperated with Japan's "naisen ittai" propaganda. In an interview with Maeil Shinbo, he said, "I am exactly the same as a Japanese person. I don't have a single piece of Korean clothing and I cannot eat spicy food at all."

Ha Young ultimately released a handwritten apology. It came five days after the family pro-Japanese controversy emerged. She asked for forgiveness for mentioning family history without historical awareness.

Another upcoming project, SBS-TV's "There's a Chance to Win," has been in final stages of filming. The production team put forth a cautious stance to observe how the situation develops.

Meanwhile, filming for the "Trauma Center" sequel will begin next month.
