[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju Reporter] Actors Yu Hae-jin and Lim Si-wan will work together in a father-son relationship.

Distributor Showbox unveiled the casting lineup for the film 'Modup' (Director Park Jong-hyun) on the 1st. It stated that "Yu Hae-jin, Lim Si-wan, Kim So-hyun, and Lee Moo-saeng will appear."

'Modup' is an occult mystery genre film. Set on a remote island in the 1960s, it depicts the story of people entangled like an unraveling knot (modup).

Yu Hae-jin plays Lee Do, the head of a fishing village. Lee Do is a figure who guards the remote island. He plays a central role in events connecting the past and present.

He said, "I have begun filming in September as the weather becomes cool. I hope filming will proceed smoothly and will do my best to create a good work."

Lim Si-wan plays Sang-gun, the son of Lee Do. He is a character who charges forward with only his eyes on his goal. He heads to the remote island despite his father's opposition.

Kim So-hyun plays Sun-ok. She has an illness of unknown cause. Seeking to treat it, she heads to the remote island and draws both Lee Do and Sang-gun into the incident.

Lee Moo-saeng joins as Gu-taek, Sun-ok's father. With desperate feelings to save his daughter, he sets out to find the remote island. He is the starting point of all events.

This film is Director Park Jong-hyun's first feature directorial work. Director Park has accumulated field experience in films such as 'An Ordinary Family' and 'Broker'.

He said, "I am excited and look forward to creating this with excellent actors and dependable staff. I hope filming can proceed smoothly without incident."

'Modup' will begin filming this month. The release date is to be determined.
