American media outlet 'Gold Derby' exclusively reported on the 3rd (Korean time) that "Director Lee Chang-dong will receive the Auteur Award at the 49th Mill Valley Film Festival opening next month."

The Mill Valley Film Festival is one of the highest-authority film festivals in the United States, hosted by the California Institute of the Arts. Director Lee Chang-dong is the first Korean to receive the award.

His new film 'A Possible Love' has also been invited. It will meet audiences through 'Spotlight,' a section that shines a light on the latest works of original artists.

'A Possible Love' is Director Lee Chang-dong's new work in eight years. It previously received invitations from the Venice, Toronto, New York, and Vancouver International Film Festivals.

Meanwhile, 'A Possible Love' will open in theaters on the 23rd. It will be available on Netflix starting November 6th.
