The production side of Disney+ new series 'Dating Doctor' (screenplay by Min Hyo-jeong, directed by Ahn Pan-seok) revealed the script reading on the 3rd. Lead actors including Choo Young-woo and Kim So-hyun attended.
'Dating Doctor' is a romance drama set in a robot research lab. It portrays the spicy, bitter, and sweet stories that graduate students experience between love and reality.
Choo Young-woo plays doctoral candidate 'Min-jae,' a character who was a swimming athlete in high school but lost one leg due to illness. He later finds a new life after encountering robotics engineering.
Kim So-hyun plays 'Yujin,' who newly joins the research lab. As she faces a blocked path to graduate school after nearing graduation from the clothing studies department, she makes a new choice.
'Dating Doctor' is the final work of the late director Ahn Pan-seok. Director Ahn directed numerous melodrama works including 'Mister Sunshine,' 'Spring Night' and others. He portrayed the delicate emotional lines of characters.
Screenwriter Min Hyo-jeong took on the writing. She is a writer beloved for 'Rooftop Cat' and 'Full House.' The series is set to capture the thrill and anxiety that anyone has experienced at least once, and the joys and sorrows of love.
'Dating Doctor' will air its first episode on ENA at 10 p.m. on the 5th of next month.
