Hollywood actor Ansel Elgort has drawn controversy for attending an event in attire that went against its purpose.

Ansel Elgort attended 'CJ Night in Celebration of Frieze Seoul' held on the 2nd at the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

The event was organized by CJ Group as an opening gala ahead of 'Frieze Seoul.' It was held for the third time following 2022 and 2024.

In particular, the organizers invited global figures to promote Korean lifestyle. K-food and K-distilled spirits were served, and works by Korean artists were introduced.

However, there was a flaw. Ansel Elgort, one of the attendees, appeared wearing a Japanese traditional garment, yukata, ignoring the organizers' guidance.

The organizers of 'CJ Night in Celebration of Frieze Seoul' had notified attendees of the dress code (Cocktail Attire) before the event.

'Cocktail Attire' refers to semi-formal dress. It is the type of clothing suitable for cocktail parties and is required for occasions that call for greater formality.

However, Ansel Elgort's attire was unrelated to both the dress code and the event's purpose. This contrasted with the majority, including Lee Byung-hun and Jang Hyuk, who wore suits.

Meanwhile, Ansel Elgort became known through the film 'Baby Driver.' He recently had a son with a Japanese woman with whom he is in a de facto relationship.
