'Intern,' opens in 9 Asian countries…"Hong Kong, Indonesia → Vietnam"

[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] The film "Intern" (Director Doyoung Kim) will meet global audiences.

Distributor Warner Bros. Korea announced on the 4th that "'Intern' has confirmed releases in 9 Asian countries" and "it can be seen starting October 16th, one month after the domestic release."

This marks the largest scale Asian regional release among Korean films distributed by the company. The countries include Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

Kurt Reader, Warner Bros. Asia-Pacific (APAC) theatrical distribution director, said, "We are delighted to restart the Korean film project through 'Intern.'"

He added, "We have high expectations to introduce an IP loved by many audiences in a new light in Korea. We hope Korean and Asian fans will enjoy it."

"Intern" is an office comedy about a 37-year veteran intern joining a female CEO's company that has rapidly risen as a dark horse in the fashion industry over the course of three years.

It is a remake of the homonymous Hollywood film directed by Nancy Meyers. Choi Min-sik plays intern Kihyo. Han Sohee plays CEO Sunoo in her third year.

Meanwhile, "Intern" will be released domestically on the 16th.
