Lee Joon-gi, Meeting with Kentaro...'Kidnap Game' Airs in Korea and Japan

[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-joo] Actor Lee Jun-ki is joining a global project. He will appear in a drama co-produced by three Asian countries.

Production company Sim Story announced on the 7th, "Lee Jun-ki will appear in 'Kidnap Game' alongside Japanese actor Sakaguchi Kentaro. It will air in South Korea, Japan, and other countries."

'Kidnap Game' is a thriller. It deals with kidnapping incidents that occur in seven Asian cities: Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, and Naha.

It is a co-production by South Korean, Japanese, and Hong Kong production companies. It will premiere on Channel A next month on the 6th. In Japan, it is scheduled to air on Fuji TV every Tuesday.

Lee Jun-ki plays the role of surgeon Han Gi-ju. After his visually impaired daughter is kidnapped, he is forced into unimaginable choices. He agonizes before extreme decisions.

Sakaguchi Kentaro plays Japanese detective Niide Toshiro. He is a character who persistently pursues the truth of the case. He heads into the middle of the game to save his wife.

The production team expressed expectations, saying "'Kidnap Game' is a thriller that depicts human choices and beliefs in extreme situations and will deliver unprecedented tension."

Meanwhile, 'Kidnap Game' will premiere on October 6th at 10 p.m.
