Actors An Eun-jin and Seo Kang-joon present a different take on romance. They meet as couples of 10 years. They love each other, but it's complicated. Within familiarity lies boredom, and loving feelings collide with realistic concerns.

Ten years of dating. What remains—marriage or separation? PD Hwang Seung-gi explained, "'A Love Other Than You' depicts long-term partners contemplating their future relationship. It deals with love that anyone can relate to."

They completed a realistic couple. Seo Kang-joon said, "All the preparation I did seemed futile. It came naturally just by looking at each other. I felt like I'd just be receiving what (An Eun-jin) gives."

A production presentation for KBS-2TV's new Saturday mini-series 'A Love Other Than You' was held on the 7th at The Saint Wedding in Guro-gu, Seoul. Actors An Eun-jin, Seo Kang-joon, Lee Joo-an, and Jo A-ram, and PD Hwang Seung-gi attended.

'A Love Other Than You' is a melodrama. It depicts a story of a couple of 10 years who encounter unfamiliar emotions. It showcases the realistic chemistry of partners who have shared everything down to the bottom.

An Eun-jin plays film director 'Lee Mi-do'. She was introduced as "a promising young director who garnered worldwide attention with her university graduation work but has not debuted with a commercial film."

Her projects repeatedly fall through, and she endures a series of setbacks. An Eun-jin explained, "Lee Mi-do is a director who hasn't done her part. She runs toward her dreams but repeatedly finds herself in difficult situations."

Rather, this aspect drew her in. "By facing variables and making choices, I learn about life," she said with a smile, "and I thought it was a work that could be seen around us and that everyone could relate to."

She also noted the difference from existing melodramas. "It's 10 years of dating. It's comfortable, but boredom is mixed in. Before starting the work, we did a lot of readings. We tried to express a couple that loves each other but has become familiar," she said.

She continued, "It's a story you can see around us and can relate to not only through dialogue but by following along with your heart," expressing confidence that "expressing these aspects seemed like it would be a lot of fun."

Seo Kang-joon transforms into 'Namgung Ho', a deputy at a major confectionery company. He introduced the character, saying, "Namgung Ho is in a long-term relationship of 10 years" and "is a person who lives looking only at his partner Lee Mi-do."

He also explained his reason for choosing the work. "The script was so interesting," and recalling his personal impression, "I felt that the character's heart and emotions are not fully expressed through dialogue."

It was a work where he could attempt new acting. "I thought it would be an interesting work where I could convey through eyes, actions, and nuance rather than through words," he said with a smile.

He added, "The character wasn't mathematically structured but contradictory. It seemed to resemble us. I had the ambition to create someone who could be living somewhere like reality."

Seo Kang-joon won the MBC Acting Awards last year. He chose 'A Love Other Than You' as his next project. "I couldn't be free of burden. With each work, I simply approached it with the same attitude," he said.

He added, "I thought to do well, I would deliberate and consult while proceeding with conviction. Having received an excessive award, I wanted to show results worthy of it. I did my best with what I could do."

An Eun-jin and Seo Kang-joon depicted a realistic couple's relationship. An Eun-jin recalled, "Starting with a couple mixed with boredom, I acted in a way that viewers would feel, 'They must have been dating for about 10 years.'"

They started by getting to know each other. "I thought we needed to convince the audience. We took time to get to know each other," she said with a laugh, "and since we're both easy-going people, we became close easily."

Seo Kang-joon also shared, "(As a 10-year couple) I had to think we know everything. However, as all my preparation seemed futile, when we looked into each other's eyes, our feelings came out naturally."

He admired An Eun-jin's acting. "Lee Mi-do's emotional and sentimental depths were deeply embedded," he said, praising her by noting, "I felt that as an outstanding actress gives, I'd just have to receive."

An Eun-jin said, "I and my friends also said, 'Looking at Seo Kang-joon's face, would a love other than you be possible?' When you see the dialogue in the show, you'll realize it has to be that way," asking for anticipation.

PD Hwang expressed confidence, "It's a drama with the appeal of watching actors' performances. It deals with universal love that most people feel. Many will be able to relate to it."

PD Hwang highlighted the viewing points of 'A Love Other Than You'. "The strength is the script that examines love like a microscope," he explained, "honestly showing specific moments of love."

He expressed confidence that it's a well-made work. "It's the opening pitcher that announces KBS's second-half lineup for the fall season. With good actors and excellent scripts, we thought we'd just do well on our part," he said with a laugh.

He was satisfied with the actors' performances. "Since it deals with honesty about love, it may be uncomfortable for some. However, the actors delivered 100%. They convinced through dialogue," he recalled.

He anticipated overwhelming number one viewership. "While watching the actors' performances, I felt moved and a sense of awe. I became certain that we could give audiences empathy and conviction."

Meanwhile, 'A Love Other Than You' will broadcast its first episode on the 12th at 9:20 p.m. It airs every Saturday and Sunday.
