[Dispatch=Yuha Neul Reporter] Xdinary Heroes is making a comeback next month. It will be their first new album following the reorganization into a five-member lineup.
A JYP Entertainment official stated to Dispatch on the 7th, "Xdinary Heroes is preparing for a comeback next month" and "We plan to hold a concert in November."
The new album is the first to be released after leader Gunil's departure. Gunil left the group on the 13th of last month. Xdinary Heroes was reorganized as a five-member group consisting of Jung Su, Gaon, O.de, Jun Han, and Juyeon.
According to a concert official, the vacant drum position will be filled by a session musician. At the 'Sound Planet Festival' held at Incheon Paradise City on the 6th, drummer Hyunjin performed on stage together.
Gunil became embroiled in a personal controversy last month. A netizen claimed on SNS on the 11th to be Gunil's ex-girlfriend and released recordings and other materials. They raised allegations that Gunil had cursed at fans.
The agency stated, "We determined it would be difficult to continue team activities with Gunil. We decided to terminate the exclusive contract by mutual agreement" and "We will support the (remaining) members to focus stably on musical activities."
Gunil conveyed on the fan communication platform Bubble, "I wanted to remain as Xdinary Heroes until the end, and I wanted to protect six members of Xdinary Heroes" and "However, I have decided to inevitably accept the company's decision. I will support the members' dreams."
Gunil's legal representative subsequently stated, "The artist has not voluntarily withdrawn from the group. The artist has not agreed to termination of the exclusive contract" and "We wish to continue amicable discussions with the agency."
