[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju Reporter] Director Yeon Sang-ho's new film will meet domestic audiences for the first time in Busan.
The Busan International Film Festival announced on the 9th that director Yeon Sang-ho's "Illusion of Paradise" has been invited to the Gala Presentation section of the 31st Busan International Film Festival.
The Gala Presentation is a section that carefully curates and introduces new works by world-renowned maestro directors or the most talked-about films of the year to audiences.
"Illusion of Paradise" will be unveiled as an Asian premiere. The world premiere will take place on the 13th through the Special Presentation section of the 51st Toronto International Film Festival.
The film is an adaptation based on the novel "Black Inferno." It begins when a missing son returns after nine years in a completely different form.
Artificial intelligence and humans collide head-on. It is a story in which a mother experiences confusion between a virtual son in AI and her real son in an unfamiliar form.
Meanwhile, the Busan Film Festival will be held from the 6th to the 15th of next month around the Busan Cinema Center.
