BTS, Billboard Power…'Swim' Enters 2nd Place in Summer Roundup

[Dispatch=Lee Myung-joo Reporter] BTS's new song 'SWIM' has been included in Billboard's 'Global Songs of the Summer.'

American Billboard announced the '2026 Global Songs of the Summer' list on its homepage on the 10th (Korea time).

The chart ranks songs that were popular during the summer season based on streaming plays and other data from over 200 regions worldwide by Luminate.

BTS secured 2nd place on 'Global (excluding US)' with the title track 'SWIM' from their 5th full-length album 'ARIRANG.' It also reached 6th place on 'Global 200.'

'SWIM' has shown consistent strength on global charts. It topped 'Global (excluding US)' eight times. It reached number one on 'Global 200' four times.

'ARIRANG' is also in the midst of a long run. According to Billboard's latest count (as of the 12th), the album charted at number 29 on 'Billboard 200' even six months after release.

'SWIM' charted at 7th place on 'Global (excluding US)' and 18th on 'Global 200' this week. Another track, 'Normal,' ranked 60th and 96th respectively.

Meanwhile, the 'SWIM' music video was selected as the winner of 'Best Group Video/International' at the '2026 MTV Video Music Awards Japan' recently.
