[Dispatch=Reporter Jung Tae-yoon] Actor Tom Cruise will meet Korean audiences through the film 'Didi'.

Tom Cruise and director Alejandro G. Iñárritu, who directed 'Didi', will visit Korea on the 2nd of next month. They plan to share stories with depth about the film through domestic media and press conferences.

On the same day, they will have a time to communicate directly with Korean film fans through a red carpet event. This will be Tom Cruise's 13th visit to Korea. It is noted as the most visits to Korea by a Hollywood actor.

The film 'Didi' tells the story of 'Didi Rockwell', an eccentric old-fashioned tycoon. It depicts what unfolds when a small crack that occurs at his glacier drilling facility in Greenland becomes a catastrophe of unprecedented scale that shakes the entire world.

Director Alejandro G. Iñárritu won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Cinematography at the 87th Academy Awards for 'Birdman' and was nominated in 5 categories including Best Actor.

With 'The Revenant', he won Best Actor, Best Director, and Best Cinematography at the 88th Academy Awards and was nominated in 9 categories including Best Picture, sweeping critics worldwide for two consecutive years.

He has been loved for his distinctive perspective in portraying character narratives and human figures in an original way and for his unique direction that conveys dramatic immersion. With 'Didi', he plans to depict a new story and world.

Regarding this project, Tom Cruise commented, "There has never been such a challenging work so far. It's a completely new experience." Playing 'Didi Rockwell', he hinted at a character transformation of historic proportions.

In addition, acting powerhouses including Sandra Huller from 'Anatomie of a Fall' and 'The Zone of Interest', John Goodman, and Jesse Plemons, who won Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival for 'Kinds of Kindness', will appear.

'Didi' will open domestically on the 3rd of next month.
