[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-joo] Pop star Lady Gaga (40) has held her first child in her arms.

U.S. publication Page Six reported exclusively on the 12th (Korean time) that "Lady Gaga has had her first child with fiancé Michael Polansky (42)."

The outlet recently spotted the family on a street in California. Lady Gaga walked while carrying what is presumed to be a newborn child in a baby carrier.

An entertainment industry source confirmed the birth to another outlet, People, saying, "Lady Gaga has become a mother. The two have had their first child."

However, information about their child has not been disclosed. Lady Gaga's side did not answer questions about the child's name, gender, and date of birth.

Some have raised speculation about surrogacy. While surrogacy is illegal in Korea, it is permitted in the UK and certain regions of the U.S.

This makes sense, given that Lady Gaga has been actively working recently. She conducted "The Mayhem Ball Tour" for nine months from July last year through April.

She has long dreamed of becoming a mother. In 2019, on the YouTube channel Nikkie Tutorials, she said, "I hope to have children in my (remaining) 10 years of life."

A year later, in 2020, in an interview with InStyle, she expressed her desire to start a family. She said, "(Someday) I will say 'I'm so happy to be having a child.'"

On "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," which aired last year, she also confessed, "There are many things I want to do. What I truly want among them is to become a mother."

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky have been dating since 2019. After continuing their public romance, they got engaged in 2024.
