[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-joo] CLOSE YOUR EYES gave listeners a preview of some sections from their new album.
Uncore released a highlight medley of CLOSE YOUR EYES' fourth mini album '256th Note' on their YouTube channel on the 13th.
The video consists of a total of seven pieces of content. It includes portions of the album's tracks. The contrasting charms of each song were expressed through edited photo cuts.
'Open Your Eyes' is a song that reinterprets jazz through hip-hop and R&B. Johan Kim and Jacob Skesni participated in piano and saxophone performances.
The title track 'Drop That!' sampled Yoon Si-nae's 'Enjoy This Night,' which is the origin of Korean jazz funk. It hints at yet another musical transformation from previous works.
'Vibe Check' is a pop number that combines an urban piano sound with restrained bass and groovy drum beats. Kensin and Seongmin Kim participated in lyric writing.
'Slowly Bleed' depicts feelings that seep in unpredictable ways. 'Full For You' is an R&B song that blends lo-fi sound with emotional melody.
'Baby Bossa Nova' featured Joo Hye-rin as a featuring artist. 'Eternity' captured the members' feelings toward Closers (the fandom name) in its lyrics.
This new album was inspired by the 256th note, one of the shortest musical notes in existence. The sincere and unadorned emotions of a fleeting moment were expressed across seven tracks.
Notably, the members participated in most of the album's track production. A characteristic feature is incorporating their own stories throughout the album. It vividly captured the team's color.
Meanwhile, CLOSE YOUR EYES will pre-release the audio and music video of 'Open Your Eyes' on the 18th at 6 p.m. The album will be released on the 30th.
