[Dispatch=Reporter Koo Min-ji] Singer Evan has solidified her position as a global solo artist.
Hanteo Chart released its album chart rankings on the 14th. Evan's mini first album "DEATH OF ME" sold a total of 530,929 copies during its first week on the chart (September 7-13).
Evan surpassed 500,000 copies in three days, achieving half-million seller status. The album sold 461,488 copies on its first day of release. It topped the Hanteo daily chart, demonstrating strong album power.
The album's performance on global charts is also notable. "DEATH OF ME" entered the iTunes 'Top Albums' rankings in 34 countries/regions worldwide. It ranked at number one in 11 countries/regions.
On China's QQ Music, it received Gold Album certification, which is awarded upon exceeding approximately 50 million won in sales (250,000 yuan). It also reached number 2 on Japan's Oricon 'Daily Album Ranking' (as of September 11).
The title track "DEATH OF ME" entered the upper ranks of the UK Official latest chart's 'Single Download Chart' and 'Single Sales Chart'. It also claimed number 1 on Bugs' real-time chart and number 5 on Melon's 'Hot 100'.
The song drew attention for its performance that showcased Evan's refinement. Key points include isolation movements from the start and restrained steps that highlight coordination with dancers. The lyrics, which she wrote herself, heightened immersion.
The music video ranked at number 4 globally on YouTube's 'Daily Popular Music Video'. The dance challenge is also gaining traction. As of 10 a.m. on the 14th, over 42,000 posts using the song have been uploaded.
Evan will appear on SBS Life's "The Show" on the 15th. She will attend Macau's 'NBA Fan Day' on October 10, Bangkok's 'K-LIVE FESTIVAL BAND : AGE' on the 17th, and 'NOL FESTIVAL' on the 18th.
