'Assassin(s)' Makes Debut in Toronto… Foreign Media: "Best Film of the Year"

'Assassins' was invited to the Gala Presentations section of the 51st Toronto International Film Festival. It recently had its world premiere at Scotiabank Theatre.

Praise came from foreign media outlets. British 'Screen Daily' described 'Assassins' as "a thriller that captivates audiences and races forward with force."

'Rotten Tomatoes' selected the film as "a must-see at the Toronto Film Festival." It stated it is "a work worthy of standing among the masterpieces of Korean cinema."

The outlet recommended it, saying "cinematic thriller elements were added to historical drama" and "those who enjoy films combining period pieces and assassination should definitely watch it."

The actors' passionate performances also drew attention. 'Next Best Picture' gave high praise saying "directorial appeal within the genre and solid acting by veteran actors."

'The People's Movie,' an independent media outlet, gave high praise saying "from opening to end credits, it completely captivates the audience. The best film of the year."

Meanwhile, 'Assassins' traces suspicions and motives behind the assassination attempt on the First Lady on August 15, 1974. It opens in theaters on the 23rd.
