[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju Reporter] Actor Kim Min-ha's new film has brightened box office prospects. It recorded a sold-out at this year's Busan International Film Festival.
The 31st Busan International Film Festival began ticket reservations at 2 p.m. on the 17th for the film "Day and Night Are for Each Other" (directed by Kim Jong-kwan). All seats were sold out immediately upon the opening of reservations.
The film will be screened as the opening film of the Busan International Film Festival in its world premiere. It captures conversations between day and night that passed through a single season at one cafe.
The festival stated its reason for selecting the opening film: "Director Kim Jong-kwan's cinematic style, perspective, and world that he has sincerely explored have reached provisional maturity."
Director Kim Jong-kwan, Kim Min-ha, Joo Jong-hyuk, Han Sun-hwa, Jang Ryul, Shim Eun-kyung, Lee Hee-joon, Jeon So-young, and Kim Dong-hui will attend the opening ceremony. A GV is also scheduled during the festival period.
Meanwhile, the 31st Busan International Film Festival will be held from the 6th to 15th of next month around the Busan Cinema Center. "Day and Night Are for Each Other" will be released in theaters in November.
