Pledis Entertainment announced on the 19th that "Hoshi recently sustained a knee injury during practice with the Ground Forces performance team."
Following detailed examination, he was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. An official explained, "We received medical advice that surgery was necessary, and he underwent the procedure on the afternoon of the 18th."
Hoshi is currently resting and recovering. In accordance with medical advice, he plans to focus on treatment and rehabilitation without physical activity for the time being.
The agency stated, "Hoshi will not participate in upcoming schedules including the 'Taekwondo Demonstration Unit Event' and 'Ground Forces Festival 2026' that were planned for his unit."
It added, "We have confirmed that the Army Taekwondo Demonstration Unit will ensure service conditions in accordance with relevant regulations and procedures so that Hoshi can concentrate on treatment stably."
Meanwhile, Hoshi is scheduled to be discharged on March 15 next year.
