WakeOne stated on the 21st, "ZEROBASEONE EMP will release 'EMP Mixtape Volume 1: We The Extra' on major music streaming sites this afternoon at 6 p.m."

EMP is a unit formed by Seok Matthew and Park Gun-uk. The group name was inspired by 'Electro Magnetic Pulse'. It reflects their aspiration to create a space where only their music exists.

Seok Matthew and Park Gun-uk participated in writing, composing, and producing all tracks on the mixtape. They led the songwriting process themselves and incorporated their own musical color.

The mixtape contains a total of 4 tracks. These include the double title tracks 'EMP' and 'Pina C', as well as 'Woofer' and 'In your rain'.

'EMP' is a track that combines hip-hop and pop. It expresses the relentless process of proving oneself and transcending limits through explosive sound and uninhibited rap.
