[Dispatch=Reporter Yuha] CORTIS heated up the island festival.

CORTIS performed at 'Rock in Japan Festival 2026' held on the 20th at Soga Sports Park in Chiba, Japan. They were invited as the only K-pop artist.

Heavy rain poured down due to bad weather that day. However, CORTIS drew enthusiastic responses from the audience regardless. They shouted in Japanese, "Let's enjoy it without being worn down by the rain!"

As the intro of 'Red Red' flowed, cheers erupted from the audience. CORTIS continued the momentum with 'TNT', 'Asa', 'Go!' and more. 'What You Want' and 'Fashion' were presented in band arrangement versions.

Members headbanged along to dazzling guitar melodies. The audience also enthusiastically ran through the rain. They maintained their cheers in front of the stage for approximately 30 minutes.

'Rock in Japan Festival' is one of Japan's four major rock music festivals. It marked its 27th year of hosting this year. This was CORTIS's first time performing at a Japanese outdoor music festival.

Meanwhile, CORTIS has been nominated in three categories at the '2026 MTV Video Music Awards' held in the United States on the 27th: 'Best Group', 'Best New Artist', and 'Best K-pop'. On the 9th of next month, they will perform at the 'Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix'.
