According to the Korean Film Council's integrated cinema ticket reservation system, 'Assassins' ranked first in real-time advance reservation rate at 30.5% as of 4 p.m. on the 22nd, the day before its release.

It broke 'Odyssey' (director Christopher Nolan)'s monopoly. As of that day, a total of 203,344 people had made advance reservations, proving it to be an anticipated title for this year's Chuseok theater market.

Korean films scheduled to open on the same day also fell behind. 'Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub' recorded 103,745 advance reservations, and 'A Possible Love' recorded 40,411.

'Assassins' is a mystery thriller. It deals with the First Lady shooting incident that was broadcast live nationwide on August 15, 1974. It is a story that traces the mastermind behind it.

It was invited to the Gala Presentation at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival and was premiered worldwide. It received praise for its fast-paced development and solid story.

Meanwhile, 'Assassins' opens on the 23rd.
