[Dispatch=Reporter Jeong Tae-yoon] Actors Yoo Yeon-seok and Go Ah-sung are searching for actors to lead the next generation of Korean cinema at the Busan International Film Festival.

The 31st Busan International Film Festival announced on the 23rd that it selected Yoo Yeon-seok and Go Ah-sung as judges for this year's Actor Award. The Actor Award targets Vision - Korea section films.

It is an award to discover actors who have demonstrated acting skills and potential. One male and one female actor are selected, each receiving a prize of 5 million won. Every year, one male and one female actor representing Korea each serve as judges.

This year, Yoo Yeon-seok and Go Ah-sung are participating as judges. Yoo Yeon-seok made his screen debut as young Lee Woo-jin in the film 'Oldboy' (2003). He has established himself as an actor spanning film, theater, and musicals.

Go Ah-sung made a successful screen debut with the film 'The Host' (2006), winning the Chingyu Film Award for New Actress and the Directors Cut Awards Actress of the Year, among others.

Subsequently, she proved her solid acting skills through films such as 'Snowpiercer' (2013) and 'The Assassination' (2019). 'I Hate Korea' (2024), in which she starred, was selected as the opening film for the 28th Busan International Film Festival.

The Actor Award will be announced at the Vision awards ceremony of the Busan International Film Festival, held from the 6th to the 15th of next month. Yoo Yeon-seok and Go Ah-sung are scheduled to attend the ceremony and present the awards directly to the recipients.
