[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju] BTS is collaborating with the National Museum of Korea Foundation for the second time.
HYBE announced on the 23rd that "the BTS merchandise series 'Dalma Jung' will introduce products that reinterpret the Korean traditional culture 'Munjaedo' in a contemporary way."
'Dalma Jung' is a merchandise that contains BTS's brand value and the unique beauty of Korean traditional culture. It is the fourth release since the first launch in 2021.
At the time of launch, it garnered attention for its design reinterpreting traditional culture and its practical lineup. In 2024, it became a topic of conversation through collaboration with the National Museum of Korea's 'Muze'.
This year, the merchandise reinterprets 'Munjaedo,' a Joseon Dynasty artifact from the National Museum of Korea. It is a type of folk painting in which pictures are drawn within or around the strokes of letters.
It took "Hyung Jeuk Dae Gil" from the lyrics of 'Alien,' a track on BTS's regular fifth album 'Arirang,' as a motif. The merchandise was planned to wish for a peaceful life.
A total of 13 types of products will be released. These include a desk-sized mini broom for sweeping in blessings, ceramic jars that call for financial luck, and pollock-shaped evil-warding magnets.
Meanwhile, HYBE will operate a related pop-up store on the first floor of HYBE's Yongsan headquarters in Seoul from the 29th to the 11th of next month.
