[Dispatch=Reporter Jung Tae-yoon] The film "Assassin(s)" (director Huh Jin-ho) emerged as the winner on the first day of the Chuseok holiday.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated box office system, "Assassin(s)" drew an audience of 288,458 on September 24, the first day of the Chuseok holiday.

It topped the overall box office. Maintaining the No. 1 spot for two consecutive days following its opening day, the film proved its commercial appeal as the full Chuseok holiday began.

The cumulative audience count stands at 447,073. The figures far exceed those of "Seoul Spring" and "The Man Living with the King" during the same period.

The real-time reservation rate also ranks first. As of 9:07 a.m. on the 25th, it maintained the top spot with a real-time reservation rate of 31.9%. A total of 284,309 people have made reservations for the film.

"Assassin(s)" depicts a story tracking suspicions and behind-the-scenes forces surrounding the shooting incident targeting the First Lady on August 15, 1974, which shocked the Republic of Korea.

The film has been receiving praise for its solid storyline, unrelenting tension, and the overwhelming acting ensemble of actors such as Hae-jin Yu, Hae-il Park, and Minho Lee.

Meanwhile, "Odyssey" took the second spot in real-time reservation rates on the same basis. With 162,905 reservations, it is continuing its extended box office run.
