BOYNEXTDOOR released the regular first album repackage 'HOME: DELUXE' on the 28th at 6 p.m. It is an expanded edition of the regular first album 'HOME'.
A total of 14 tracks have been included. The five songs 'ANIMAL', 'CLICHE', 'COUNT TO LOVE', 'BOOM BOOM BOOM', and '400 YEARS' have been added to the nine tracks from 'HOME'.
The group displays a new musical color. Various genres including electro funk, disco, and pop ballad have been incorporated. Members directly participated in songwriting, composition, and performance production.
The title track 'ANIMAL' is in the electro funk genre. The feeling of rushing toward one's desires is compared to the dynamic movements of an animal.
Riwoo participated in choreography production. The performance, which embodies the movements of animals, expresses intense and free-spirited energy.

Q. Thoughts on releasing the regular first album repackage 'HOME: DELUXE'
BOYNEXTDOOR: We became eager to make a comeback once more this year, so we have been preparing the repackage activities alongside the regular album. Since we have prepared a song with different charms from the previous title track, we would appreciate it if you could show us lots of love. We built our own house with our first regular album, and now we want to enjoy a party with everyone.
Q. Differences from the regular first album 'HOME'
Jaehyun: The texture of the album is quite different. With the regular first album having a clear theme, we approached it with a bit more seriousness. We focused on showing people a side of us they don't know well. Meanwhile, this time we wanted to capture BOYNEXTDOOR's free-spirited image that feels familiar to the general public. I think it's an album where the seriousness we want to show and our bright and free charm blend well together.
Q. Thoughts while working on the title track 'ANIMAL'
Jaehyun: Since it was the first time challenging the electro funk genre, I spent a lot of time thinking about it. Taesan, Woonhak and I spent time with just the beat playing without writing a single song. After finishing work on the first day, we talked about needing to study this genre more. After studying by listening to several songs and creating a demo, when we played it for the members, their reactions were extreme, which was a fun memory.
Taesan: When we performed in America, fans' cheering chant 'Whop Whop!' was really great. I wanted to include this kind of animal sound in the music as well. Naturally, we came up with the theme of 'animal', and created the song together with the members and producers.
Woonhak: I wanted to capture an instinctive feeling well. I incorporated into the melody the desire that people would move as they wished without worrying about anything else. While working on it, I thought most about 'I want to perform on stage quickly'. It's a song that gives you energy and excitement just from listening to it, as if you've received an IV, so I think we'll be able to show it in a fun way at the concert venue as well.

BOYNEXTDOOR: Rather than thinking deeply, we hope you will put aside reason for a moment and enjoy the music itself. I think this kind of energy is what BOYNEXTDOOR is all about. When you come watch the performance, we want to naturally allow you to run and play along with us. Rather than us trying hard to show something, we want to see our audience enjoying themselves freely.
Q. What you paid particular attention to while preparing the title track performance
Riwoo: I am truly proud and happy to have my name credited in the choreography for the first time. I have participated in choreography creation before, but this is the first time my name is credited. Since the song itself is intense, I thought that if the performance were too powerful as well, it would be difficult for the audience to enjoy it together. So instead, I gave room in the chorus and added movements that are easy to follow and wit. I hope the chorus choreography I created will be loved as a challenge too. (laughs)
Q. Behind-the-scenes of the music video shoot
Sungho: To bring out the dynamism of the music video, we went to several areas including Daejeon, Paju, and Incheon and continuously filmed scenes of running. There are also scenes of navigating through crowds or freely walking among citizens in the market. Through these scenes, we wanted to express a sense of liberation.
Q. The reaction you'd like to hear and a message to fans
BOYNEXTDOOR: We would like to be called a 'performance-oriented idol group'. We want to show that we are a team that truly enjoys music and the stage. Above all, the fact that someone is waiting for us always feels grateful and exciting. Thanks to OneDoor always welcoming us, we try harder every day.
