[Dispatch=Reporter Park Hye-jin] Singer Woo Joo directly clarified the reports about appearing in a Japanese film set against the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan.

Woo Joo held a live broadcast on the 27th in the afternoon. The day before, a media outlet reported that Woo Joo was cast in the Korea-Japan co-production film 'Tamako'.

'Tamako' tells the story of a boy who lost his parents to the atomic bomb that fell on Hiroshima, Japan in 1945, who later crossed over to Korea following a Korean resident in Japan and experienced the Korean War.

Criticism emerged over the atomic bombing subject matter. Woo Joo explained, "The article came out incorrectly. After receiving the script and understanding the content, I discussed it carefully with the company and declined. The article came out amid that process."

He said, "In a situation where I took no action, there was nothing I could say. (Seeing the controversy) my heart was not at ease. I apologize for the noise."

He continued, "You must be worried from seeing the article first, but (the article) has been corrected and it ended well. After that, there is nothing. I wanted to tell you not to worry."

Meanwhile, Woo Joo appears in the film 'Nambeol' (director Lee Mo-gae). It tells the story of nine warriors from early Joseon rescuing prisoners kidnapped by Japanese pirates. Woo Joo plays the archer 'Cheotnnom'.

On the 31st of next month and November 1st, he will hold a world tour encore concert 'Archive. 1 : Completed' at KSPO Dome in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
