[Dispatch=Lee Myung-joo Reporter] "Living Legend" U2 returns with a new studio album.
Universal Music announced on the 28th that "U2 will release their 16th studio album 'Carnaval De Luz' on November 13."
This marks their first studio album in approximately 9 years. Their last studio album was "Songs of Experience."
"Carnaval De Luz" means "Carnival of Light" in Korean. It addresses spirituality, friendship, freedom, and the power of endurance and persistence in the face of darkness.
The new album contains a total of 12 tracks, including "Silencio." The final track "Tone" is a duet between Bono and the late Dolly Parton.
It is being released on U2's 50th anniversary. A memo posted by Larry Mullen Jr. on the Mount Temple Comprehensive School bulletin board in 1976 became the starting point.
U2 held two performances in Dublin, Ireland to commemorate their comeback. On the 26th, they visited Mount Temple Comprehensive School and performed their first show.
On the same day, they also took the stage on the balcony of "Bewley's," a cafe on Grafton Street. Numerous fans filled the streets upon hearing the news of their performance.
Meanwhile, U2 is a band from Ireland that was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Since their formation in 1976, they have released a total of 15 studio albums.
