[Dispatch=Reporter Jung Tae-yoon] BTS' RM has generously donated 100 million won for the National Central Museum's acquisition of collection items.

The National Central Museum announced on the 30th that "RM donated 100 million won in sponsorship funds to the National Central Museum Association, a museum support organization, on the 29th."

The sponsorship funds will be used in the future when the National Central Museum Association acquires and donates museum collection items.

RM was appointed as a Global Promotional Ambassador for the National Central Museum in June. He said, "I will continue to work together to promote the museum and our culture."

The National Central Museum Association carries out museum support projects including artifact acquisition, academic sponsorship, and museum facility development.

It has previously acquired and donated items such as a Joseon-era "mother-of-pearl inlaid lotus vine pattern box" (2023) and "Running Script" by Hwang Gi-ro, a renowned calligrapher from the early Joseon period (2024), to the museum.

RM has previously conducted support activities by donating 100 million won each to the Foundation for Korean Cultural Heritage in Foreign Lands in 2021 and 2022, expressing his hope to contribute to the preservation, restoration, and utilization of cultural heritage abroad.

He will also hold a special exhibition showcasing his personal collection, "RM X SFMOMA: Between You and Me." The exhibition opens on the 3rd of next month (local time) at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in the United States.

The event runs through February 7 next year. This is the first exhibition to showcase RM's personal collection at a museum. RM directly participated in the exhibition planning and curation process.
