Warner Bros. Korea, the distributor, announced on the 1st, "Director Iñárritu, who had previously confirmed his attendance for the film 'Didi,' will be unable to participate due to unavoidable circumstances."
The company delivered an apology message to Korean fans. "We sincerely ask for your understanding from those who showed great interest and waited upon hearing the news of Director Iñárritu's visit to Korea," it added.
The company also released a letter received from Director Iñárritu. He bowed his head, saying, "I had been looking forward to meeting you, but I am unable to go to Korea."
Hollywood actor Tom Cruise will participate normally in this event. Director Iñárritu said, "I will be able to share stories about the film that you are curious about."
He continued, "I hope you can feel how much your warm interest and love for 'Didi' means to us. I send my respect and affection along with Tom."
