Showbox revealed the casting lineup for the film 'Family Force' on the 2nd. It announced that "Cha Seung-won, Rami, Park Hyung-sik, Baek Yoon-sik, and Jang Yul will appear."
'Family Force' is a new film by director Won Shin-yeon. It tells the story of a family spanning three generations of Marines who confront terrorism using family strength rather than combat power or intelligence.
Cha Seung-won plays Cheol-du, a former Marine master sergeant. He is the head of a household that has been Marine for three generations. He becomes caught up in a terror incident while visiting his father's hospital.
Rami plays Ye-bun, the spiritual pillar of the family and Cheol-du's wife. She demonstrates her comic talents shown in works such as 'Citizen Duk-hee' and 'High Five.'
Park Hyung-sik plays Cheol-hun, the son of Cheol-du and Ye-bun. A sergeant in the Marine Corps' special search unit, he becomes caught up in an unexpected terror incident while on year-end leave.
Baek Yoon-sik plays Cheol-sung, the most senior member of the three-generation Marine family. He is Cheol-du's father and Cheol-hun's grandfather, and is from the first class of the Marine Corps. He is a decorated war veteran.
Finally, Jang Yul takes on the role of Tae-in, who carries out mysterious terror with multinational terrorists at the hospital. He brings tension to the film.
Director Won Shin-yeon handles the direction. Director Won has shown prominence in the action genre with films such as 'The Battle at Lake Changjin,' 'Memoir of a Murderer,' and 'Seven Days.'
The film recently began principal photography. Director Won said, "As we have prepared with great effort over a long time, we will present a high-quality work with wonderful actors and staff."
Meanwhile, 'Family Force' is currently in production. The release date has not yet been determined.
