ILLIT, 300 Million Streams on Japanese Association… Fastest Record for Female Singer from Overseas

[Dispatch=Lee Myeong-joo] ILLIT has proven its music power once again. The debut track has been streamed over 300 million times in Japan alone.

The Japan Record Association announced streaming certification works on the 2nd (August). ILLIT acquired "Triple Platinum" with the mini first album title track "Magnetic."

"Triple Platinum" is one of the certification standards set by the Japan Record Association. Certification is granted to music tracks that achieve a cumulative 300 million streams across 12 sites.

This is the first time an ILLIT song has received "Triple Platinum" certification. It achieved this in 2 years and 5 months from the release of the track, the fastest speed among female artists from overseas in history.

"Magnetic" previously received "Platinum" certification three months after release. This set the shortest record for female groups across domestic and international releases. Subsequently, 100 million additional streams were added in 7 months.

Other tracks are also gaining popularity locally. The first Japanese original track "Almond Chocolate" acquired "Platinum" certification, and "Lucky Girl Syndrome" received "Gold" certification respectively.

Meanwhile, ILLIT will make a comeback with mini fifth album "BREAK EVEN" on the 26th.
