[Dispatch=Yuha Nul Reporter] Stray Kids' Bang Chan marked his birthday with meaningful giving.
Bang Chan recently donated 100 million won each to NPO HearCycle, international relief and development NGO World Vision, and NPO East Asia Sea Community OSEAN. He delivered a total of 300 million won.
The donations will be used for hearing medical expenses and social reintegration support for deaf youth, scholarship projects for low-income and vulnerable children and teenagers, and customized growth support. The funds will also be used for coastal cleanup and marine debris collection projects and river cleanup activities.
"It is meaningful to be able to share my heart, however small, in various fields where helping hands are needed—from children's dreams to the places where we live," Bang Chan said. "I hope it will contribute to all of us dreaming of a better tomorrow together."
Bang Chan continues to share warmth through consistent charitable activities. In September, he donated 100 million won each to Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital and UNICEF Korea Committee. He took the lead in establishing a specialized rehabilitation center and recovery efforts from flooding in Nepal.
On his birthday last year, he donated a total of 200 million won. He transferred 100 million won to Samsung Seoul Hospital to support treatment costs for pediatric patients. He also donated to UNICEF Korea Committee to support children worldwide.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids, the group Bang Chan belongs to, held five performances across three Latin American regions as part of the festival "Straycity" in Mexico City, Mexico on the 25th and 26th of last month. The shows drew a total audience of 270,000.
