[Dispatch=Reporter Lee A-jin] "Rather than following a predetermined answer, we tried to collide directly and create our own answer." (KICKFLIP)
KICKFLIP will release their new mini album 'KICK OFF THE WALL Pt. 1' on the 6th at 6 p.m. This marks their comeback approximately six months after their fourth mini album 'My First Kick' in April.
The album contains a total of eight tracks. From the double title tracks 'Incomplete' and 'Kick Off the Wall' to '0' (Young), 'Rockin'', 'hate blueberry', 'Drop In', and more.
Notably, they are showcasing their first double title tracks since debut. The two songs are connected in their narrative. If 'Incomplete' is a question posed to oneself, 'Kick Off the Wall' contains the answer they discovered.
All members have their names credited on every track. They completed songs for all youth who keep stumbling and colliding. They convey the message that it's okay not to find a perfect answer.

Q. Your feelings on making a comeback after approximately six months
KICKFLIP: I'm excited and anticipating that we'll be able to show many things, from our first double title tracks since debut to new sides of ourselves. We've thought deeply and grown both musically and as people, so I feel more attachment to this album. We've captured the story we wanted to tell well, so please look forward to it.
Q. The story you wanted to tell with this album
KICKFLIP: We thought it was time to break the frameworks and standards we had. We wanted to express through song the process of directly colliding with concerns and questions. Rather than following a predetermined answer, we felt that directly colliding and creating our own answer was very 'KICKFLIP-like'.
Q. The story you especially wanted to include while participating in songwriting and composition
Kaehyun: There's a lyric in the B-side track 'Zero (Young)' that goes "When you and I attach ourselves next to zero, with no one, it becomes infinity." I put in the meaning and will that we can accomplish anything when united as a team.
Minjae: We had many discussions about how members would accept and express the album's overall message. Beyond just making good songs, we continuously thought about 'how do we capture our story right now'. Since each member participated in the work, the process of hearing each other's opinions and making revisions was itself meaningful.
Q. Points to appreciate about the double title tracks
KICKFLIP: For 'Incomplete', we'd appreciate it if you focused on the members' emotions and vocals. For 'Kick Off the Wall', KICKFLIP's energy and intense sound are the key points. It's such an exciting song that you'll want to jump along, so we're eager to show you the performance soon.
Q. What KICKFLIP has completed and what you want to complete going forward
KICKFLIP: We really wanted to hold a solo concert under the KICKFLIP name, and we were happy to be able to hold a fan concert in January this year. Now, performing on a larger stage filled with the voices of Weflip (our fandom name) has become a new goal. Since debut, what we've completed the most is teamwork. We're gradually learning how to gather each member's strengths and turn them into one energy. Going forward, we want to complete our own identity so that people immediately think 'KICKFLIP makes this kind of music' when they hear our name.
Q. Your resolve for this comeback and goals you want to achieve
KICKFLIP: We're grateful for good results and outcomes, but with this comeback we want to hear people say 'KICKFLIP is a team that does this kind of music well' and 'they've matured'. We hope this activity will expand the range of stages and music we can do. We want to be invited to various music award ceremonies and shout out Weflip's name loudly when giving our acceptance speeches. We'll grow as a team that continues moving forward without setting limits. Please watch us closely!
