[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Ajin] 'Cheongdam International High School' expands its universe with a new series.
Why Not Media revealed the casting for the new drama 'Cheongdam International High School: Royal Camp' (screenplay by Oh Jerah, directed by Park Bongseop) on the 6th.
The drama is the third work in the 'Cheongdam International High School' series. It continues the series' core theme of class and desire, collision between the haves and the have-nots.
New characters and settings have been added. It is set against a camp isolated from the outside world. It will depict intensified power games and psychological warfare.
Hong Yeji takes on the role of Moon Jiwon. She is a character who loses everything overnight and decides on revenge. She enters Royal Camp wielding strong survival instincts as her weapon.
Miyeon plays Cha Sesemi, the only daughter of the Taehan Group. Cha Sesemi is accustomed to the logic of class and power. She stands in firm opposition to Moon Jiwon, who threatens her position.
Hyun Seok plays So Ijun, a perfect conglomerate heir. As the eldest son of Cellholdings, he possesses outstanding intellect and appearance. He views even love and friendship through the lens of interests, but gradually takes interest in Moon Jiwon.
Mingi transforms into Seo Donghwa. He is Moon Jiwon's childhood friend and a former national tennis representative. He sees his transfer to Cheongdam International High School as an opportunity to change his life and enters Royal Camp.
The production team stated, "We plan to bring a story that is more intense and unpredictable while preserving the appeal of the existing series" and "We hope you will look forward to the fresh synergy of the new characters and actors."
Meanwhile, 'Cheongdam International High School: Royal Camp' is currently in production with a goal of release next year.
