[Dispatch=Lee Myoung-ju] Hybe is holding the 'Weverse Con Festival' in India. It marks the first overseas hosting of the event since its launch.
Hybe announced on the 8th that it will hold the 'Weverse Con Festival' (hereinafter 'Wecon Fest') with its Indian subsidiary Hybe India in New Delhi on March 27-28 next year.
'Wecon Fest' is a global music festival that Hybe has held annually since its debut in 2023. It has connected music fans across genres.
The lineup has expanded each year. Beyond encompassing all generations of K-pop from rising newcomers to legendary artists, the festival has also invited indie bands.
In March next year, it will arrive as 'Wecon Fest India.' The festival will be organized as a venue where not only K-pop and Indian music, but also fan cultures from both countries meet in one place.
After establishing its Indian subsidiary last year, Hybe has interacted with Indian fans by holding auditions in 23 local cities. It will deliver a new festival experience.
An official explained that "'Wecon Fest India' is a venue where Hybe's 'Multi Home, Multi Genre' strategy aimed at creating synergy with local culture and K-pop will be realized."
They added, "It will be a festival that further enriches and expands the Hybe entertainment ecosystem by leveraging the global capabilities accumulated so far."
Meanwhile, the artist lineup for 'Wecon Fest India' will be announced this month.
