[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] Actor Jung Il-woo continues his global activities. He has begun filming a Korean-Vietnamese co-production film.
Galaxy Corporation announced on the 8th that "Jung Il-woo commenced official production on the film 'On My Way Home' on the 2nd."
'On My Way Home' is a project bringing together the lead cast of 'I'm Going to Abandon My Mother' (director Mo Hong-jin), which was released in Vietnam and other regions last year.
Jung Il-woo played the role of Jeong Min, a Korean man, in the previous film. He portrayed a character who falls in love with Leti Han, a Vietnamese woman, stirring the excitement of first love.
In this new film, the scale expands further. Most of the major scenes will be filmed in Korea. It aims for a Vietnam local release in August next year.
Jung Il-woo is "Vietnam's national son-in-law." 'Running Man Vietnam,' which he recently appeared in, surpassed 10 million cumulative views on YouTube three days after its release.
Amid explosive support from local fans, he faces a meaningful meeting ahead. Jung Il-woo is preparing a Vietnam-exclusive fan meeting to commemorate his 20th debut anniversary this year.
A representative stated, "Jung Il-woo is serving as a bridge connecting Korea and Vietnam," and added, "We ask for your anticipation of his new global endeavors."
