[Dispatch=Reporter Park Hye-jin] Actress Kim Ji-won takes on the role of a genius surgeon who commands the operating room. Lee Jung-eun appears as her partner, hinting at deep woman-to-woman chemistry.

The SBS new Friday-Saturday drama 'Doctor X: The Era of the White Mafia' (written by Pyeon Seong-geun, directed by Lee Jeong-lim, hereafter 'Doctor X') unveiled its viewing points on the 9th.

'Doctor X' is a medical noir. It is the story of a doctor who breaks down massive irregularities through skill alone. Directed by PD Lee Jeong-lim of 'VIP,' 'Evil,' and 'You Killed It.' Rookie writer Pyeon Seong-geun wrote the script.

The acting ensemble of actors including Kim Ji-won (role: Gye Su-jeong), Lee Jung-eun (role: Jang Hee-sook), Son Hyun-joo (role: Bu Seung-kwon), and Kim Woo-seok (role: Park Tae-kyung) is anticipated. Pre-released videos have already exceeded 11 million views.

Four points stand out. First, Kim Ji-won undergoes a bold transformation. She is called the so-called 'mad Gye' of the operating room. As a genius surgeon, she challenges an unjust cartel.

She will display the intense charisma of medical staff. Outside the operating room, in contrast, she adds a surprising scatter-brained charm and a deeply layered backstory.

Second, it is the first medical noir to continue SBS's 'cider universe' ('Kim Bu-jang,' 'Exemplary Taxi,' 'Hot-blooded Priest,' etc.). It conveys the catharsis of a hero standing against corrupt power.

In particular, the depiction of Gye Su-jeong holding to her convictions in front of corrupt doctors who neglect patients' lives due to being absorbed in power, and her skilled surgical technique, is noteworthy.

The woman-to-woman chemistry between Kim Ji-won and Lee Jung-eun is also anticipated. The two appear as business partners, but within that lies a deep bond that has shared wounds together. It portrays woman-to-woman connection transcending generations.

Director Lee Jeong-lim said, "The breathing of the two actors contains special trust and comfort beyond acting," expressing anticipation.

Lastly, the seamless acting chemistry of the actors is the point. Lee Jin-hee (role: Cho Wonjin), Kim Young-min (role: Do Yun-sik), Lee Sung-wook (role: Bae Heung-gon), Kwon Seung-woo (role: Ma Seong-gyu), Heo Jun-seok (role: Kim Seong-jin), Choi Deok-moon (role: Yang Eung-gu), and others lent their strength.

From the medical staff at Guseo University Hospital to the people at doctor dispatch agencies and the power players surrounding the hospital, various characters with different beliefs and desires appear. It is expected to create synergy while oscillating between tension and pleasantness.

Lee Jung-eun said, "Centered around Gye Su-jeong, various chemistry has been incorporated inside and outside the operating room," hinting that "as the drama progresses, you will come to love each and every character."

'Doctor X' airs for the first time at 9:50 p.m. that day.
