[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myeong-ju] '100 Days of Lies' (written by Ryu Bo-ri, directed by Yoo In-sik and Kim Yun-jin) announced a smooth start.
The second episode of tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama '100 Days of Lies' aired on the 11th. According to Nielsen Korea, the broadcast recorded a national average viewership rating of 7.6%.
This represents a 2.3 percentage point increase from the previous episode. The first broadcast started with a viewership rating of 5.3%. It surpassed the average viewership rating of the recently concluded 'Pohandseu' (6.5%) in just two episodes.
It ranked first in viewership among programs broadcast in the same time slot. It received the most viewer selection across all channels, including cable and general programming networks.
The broadcast covered an assassination operation on Sato Shin'ichi (played by Jin Sun-gyu). Yoo So-ran (played by Kim Hyun-joo) seized an opportunity after 13 years, but an unexpected variable emerged.
Sato Shin'ichi brought along his adopted son Sato Hideo (played by Park Jin-young). The identity of Geum Seok-joong (played by Gam Woo-sung), another figure targeting him, also drew attention.
The process of Gyeongseong's greatest pickpocket Lee Ga-gyeong (played by Kim You-jung) becoming entangled in the assassination operation added intrigue. Lee Ga-gyeong's reunion with Sato Hideo was also a viewing highlight.
The ending was also impressive. Sato Hideo happened to visit the Jongno pawnshop where Lee Ga-gyeong was located. He hooked her leg to stop her as she tried to leave.
Meanwhile, '100 Days of Lies' tells the story of a pickpocket turned informant and a Joseon Government-General interpreter confronting each other at the heart of the enemy.
