"Little BOA, where did you find her?"…'A2O LITE', shocking Korean debut

[Dispatch=Reporter Kim Ji-ho] "Lee Soo-man has gathered BoA as much as Girls' Generation"

Rookie girl group 'A2O LITE' is drawing attention with a bold domestic debut. Immediately after unveiling their debut showcase, they landed in the upper ranks of music charts. They drew acclaim for their visuals, music, and performance, dominating SNS algorithms.

A2O LITE released their debut track 'NEON' on major music sites on the 13th at 6 p.m. Their debut stage was globally opened through M2 and Mnet Plus. The male team 'A2O Soul' simultaneously made their entrance.

What particularly drew public attention was Aiching, who opened 'NEON'. Despite being only 13 years old, she delivered an explosive performance reminiscent of BoA in her early debut days. Her brown-colored straight hair and delicate visuals also evoke BoA.

The music was sensational. It took the opposite path from the recent pursuit of girl groups. Rather than easy listening or trendy pop, it showcased strong music reminiscent of the so-called 'SMP'. It is a dance track with a millennial-end feel that Lee Soo-man excels at and has excelled at.

That's because 'NEON' is a song in which producer Yoo Young-jin participated in lyrics, composition, and arrangement. The repeated hook "neon and beyond" is addictive. High-difficulty dance breaks and synchronized formations added to the enjoyment of watching the stage.

As a result, they made a brilliant debut on music charts. 'NEON' ranked 1st on the Bugs chart as of 9 a.m. on the 14th. It recorded 10th place on the Melon Top 100 chart and Genie chart. They are rapidly entering domestic K-pop charts and accelerating their full-course advancement.

Producer Lee Soo-man is the founder of SM Entertainment. He left SM in 2023 and established new A2O Entertainment. In 2024, he first introduced 'A2O MAY', a five-member group.

'A2O LITE', which debuted this time, is a nine-member girl group. It is composed of Young (17, Korea), Oa (13, USA/Japan), Ayoon (13, Korea), Aiching (13, China), Himeki (17, Japan), Rada (15, Thailand), Siri (15, China), Bora (16, Korea), and Merci (15, China).

Sister group 'A2O Soul' is a 15-member boy group. Moon (19, Korea), Ty (15, China), Gaku (17, Japan), Siwon (15, Korea), Seoha (19, Korea), Sono (14, Japan), Lucien (15, Korea), Zai (14, China), Aiden (14, China), Allure (15, Thailand), Zet (14, China), Sora (19, Japan), Theo (17, China), Jun (16, China), and Han Sung (16, Korea) form the team.
