[Dispatch=Reporter Lee A-jin] Mino, from WINNER, is expected to resume service as a social service worker.

A Military Manpower Administration official said in a phone call with Dispatch on the 16th, "After the first trial ruling is confirmed, the relevant department is reviewing the procedure for resuming service."

Mino will work again as a social service worker for the number of days he was absent from service. Specific details regarding the resumption schedule, work days, and workplace have not yet been determined.

YG Entertainment stated to Dispatch, "We have no official position to share on this matter," and asked to "inquire with the Military Manpower Administration."

Dispatch first reported on Mino's alleged dereliction of duty in December 2024. It was revealed that Mino was absent without permission for 102 days out of 430 required attendance days.

The Seoul Western District Court's Criminal Division 10 (Judge Seo Junkyu) sentenced Mino to one year in prison with a two-year suspended sentence on the 1st. The first trial ruling was confirmed as Mino did not appeal.

The court stated, "Military service obligation is a fundamental duty of citizens and must be fulfilled faithfully," adding "social service workers are no exception. There is considerable social interest in the fulfillment of military service obligations by those working in broadcasting."

However, the court took into consideration that Mino admitted to the charges and showed remorse. It also considered his health condition and his commitment to faithfully fulfill his remaining military service obligations.

Mino also expressed his intention to resume service. He posted a handwritten apology on social media on the 9th. "I am ashamed and regretful of my past choices without responsibility," he said, adding "I will faithfully carry out the remaining procedures and obligations."
