[Dispatch=Reporter Lee A-Jin] The perpetrator who threatened and defamed actress Han Ji-min has been sentenced to a fine. The individual has been confirmed to be the same person who stalked Choi Jeong-hoon of Jannabi, Han Ji-min's romantic partner.
BH Entertainment, Han Ji-min's agency, told Dispatch in a phone call on the 17th, "The person who left malicious comments on Han Ji-min and the person who stalked Choi Jeong-hoon are indeed the same person."
This fact emerged during the court proceedings in the case. The Seoul Central District Court Criminal Division 27 (Judge Lee Ye-rim) sentenced A on the 16th to a fine of 6 million won on charges of threatening and defaming Han Ji-min.
A is accused of posting 19 malicious posts targeting Han Ji-min on his SNS during September-October 2024. He left comments such as "I will interfere with the movie Han Ji-min is in" and "Keep your mouth shut."
The court stated, "The defendant wrote insulting posts claiming the victim's dating rumors were false" and "threatened by demanding a breakup article announcement and cessation of SNS activity."
It added, "The victim made efforts to maintain a good reputation over a long period. However, as a result of this incident, she has become the subject of rumors and suffered serious damage to her image."
A was previously also punished for stalking Choi Jeong-hoon. He left hundreds of comments on Choi Jeong-hoon's blog containing profanities, death threats, and requests for private meetings. He also visited the vicinity of his agency building.
At the time, the court ordered A to pay a fine of 5 million won and complete a stalking treatment program. According to Peponi Music, Choi Jeong-hoon's agency, the ruling became final in March.
Meanwhile, Han Ji-min and Choi Jeong-hoon confirmed their relationship in August 2024. They are known to have met through KBS-2TV's "The Seasons - Choi Jeong-hoon's Night Park" in 2023. They continue to maintain a public relationship to date.
