NMIXX will release its sixth mini album "Strange Muse" on the 19th at 6 p.m. Set against the backdrop of Mixopia, the album tells a story of members becoming each other's muses.

The album includes six tracks in total. In addition to the title track "Long Wish," the tracks are "Kerosene," "RudE TaLK," "Sing to the Moon," "Hot 'n Unbothered," and "WHIP."

The title track combines mombaton, afro, and future house. Dynamic sound and calm piano melodies create contrast. The lyrics express the moment of wholeheartedly making wishes for one another.

The group presents unit songs for the first time since debut. Lily and Haewon completed a sweet ballad pop. Sullyoon and BAE showcase Latin groove. Jiwoo and Kyujin lead with fast-paced rap and pop melody.

Each member participated in writing the lyrics for their unit track. BAE's name is also credited in the writing of "RudE TaLK," demonstrating musical capability. In particular, Kyujin challenged composition for the first time since debut, following her lyric-writing participation.

Q. Your feelings about the comeback in about five months and the story within the new album

NMIXX: We are excited to meet Nswer and present new music and stages about five months after "Heavy Serenade." This album tells a story set in Mixopia where everyone shines in different ways and we become each other's muses. The title track "Long Wish" is a song about endlessly blowing out candles and making wishes for one another, who are the stars of the party.

Q. The meaning behind the album title

NMIXX: Even if others don't understand, if someone inspires me, I believe that person is a muse. Mixopia is a place where different people meet, each unfolds their color, and becomes inspiration for one another. We wanted to convey the message that "difference" can help us create the world we desire.

Q. First impressions of the title track "Long Wish" and the recording process

Lily: When I first heard it, I thought it was hopeful and unique. The chorus and narration were especially moving. There are many high notes, so I paid attention to my vocal technique, and since I took on rap for the first time in a title track, I practiced a lot.

Sullyoon: The notes in the chorus are relatively high. I paid a lot of attention, trying different vocal positions than usual to produce a pleasant sound.

Haewon: I hope you become completely immersed in the song after hearing the narration in the intro. I hope the emotions of a precious and overwhelming moment as we face one another come across.

Q. The process of working on debut's first unit songs

Kyujin: I always wanted to challenge songwriting and composition someday, and I was really happy to participate through this album. It wasn't easy to work according to the song's direction, but it was a meaningful experience. I will continue to show growth going forward.

Q. Did you feel any burden from consecutive hits

Jiwoo: I think it's healthy pressure. Because there are Nswer waiting for us and people helping us by our side, we want to do better. That heart becomes the driving force for working hard. This time too, we did our best just as we always have.

Q. Your feelings about winning the Daesang award for the first time since debut and its significance

Sullyoon: It's all thanks to so many people supporting and loving us. Our journey was sometimes confusing and difficult. This Daesang will become a source of strength to believe in ourselves more and move forward. We will repay you with good songs and performances.

BAE: We received this meaningful award thanks to Nswer, our members, and everyone who helped us. I think today came from precious days that we won't forget. I want to accept this Daesang not as proof of arrival at somewhere, but as encouragement that we can go further. We will continue walking NMIXX's own path.

Q. NMIXX's "Long Wish" that you want to achieve

NMIXX: We want to make a wish for the people who bring us happiness. Nswer, our families, and ourselves. We especially hope Nswer stays healthy and happy. We hope that time spent with NMIXX will remain a happy memory for many years to come. We want to be artists you will forever be proud of.
