"Intense laughter, warm love"…'Badakkeutneeo', the completion of healing romance (presentation)

[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Ah-jin] "We conveyed warm love within cheerful laughter." (Director Yoon Jong-ho)

Director Yoon Jong-ho of "Clean Up" returns once again with a romantic comedy. While his previous work depicted the love between an idol and a fan, this time he presents a romance between a top actor and a fan.

Actors Jung Yong-hwa and Hong Seunghee take on the lead roles. The story depicts how two people, each carrying their own wounds, comfort each other and nurture their love.

It delivers cheerful laughter based on unrealistic settings. With exaggerated situations and absurd episodes, it offers unpredictable entertainment. Within it lies a warm coming-of-age story.

The production presentation for Lifetime's new Saturday drama "Endlessly, You" was held at The Saint Grand Ballroom in DeCube City, Seoul. Director Yoon, Jung Yong-hwa, Hong Seunghee, Han Chae-ah, and Jo Jae-yoon attended.

"Endlessly, You" is a romantic comedy. It depicts the story that unfolds when a melodrama specialist actor meets a woman who believes herself to be the female lead in a drama.

Jung Yong-hwa plays Eom Tae-bong. Eom Tae-bong is an actor who hides a fatal secret. He has a peculiar symptom where he breaks into cold sweat and feels dizzy when his lips touch someone.

Jung Yong-hwa revealed that he was drawn to the work from its title. He said, "The title, which we abbreviate as 'Bidkeunnyeo,' rolls off the tongue well, and I decided to take the role thinking there would be much to gain from this work."

He made an effort to express a cartoon-like character. Jung Yong-hwa said, "It's a work that deals with things that could only happen in imagination, and I intentionally exaggerated my acting to bring out the cartoon-like appeal."

The part he paid the most attention to was acting tone-deaf. Jung Yong-hwa laughed, saying, "I've never gone a lifetime without singing, but I put in a lot of effort to naturally pull off the tone-deaf acting."

Hong Seunghee took on the role of Oh Hae-ra. Oh Hae-ra is a chaebol heiress but is timid and fearful. She lives dreaming of a romance with actor Eom Tae-bong, who helped her overcome childhood trauma.

She took on a dual role. This is because Oh Hae-ra believes herself to be Cha Hong-du, the female lead in the drama starring Eom Tae-bong. She paid attention to expressing two different characters.

Hong Seunghee said, "The two characters have internal connections. I tried to focus on that point in my acting, and whenever I felt difficulty, the director and senior actors helped me a lot," expressing her gratitude.

She also asked for anticipation regarding her on-screen chemistry with Jung Yong-hwa. Hong Seunghee said, "From our first meeting, the senior created a comfortable atmosphere. Thanks to that, I was able to deliver comic acting without burden."

The fact that it's a new work from Director Yoon Jong-ho also draws expectations. In fact, this work was prepared before "Clean Up." However, due to delayed scheduling, it meets viewers approximately four years later.

Director Yoon believed that now is an appropriate time to present the work. He said, "I think airing it now is rather the right moment for viewers to enjoy the drama's charm more interestingly."

The unique setting of moving between reality and the world within the drama also catches attention. To this, romance and comedy are appropriately woven in. In particular, effort was put into balancing the two genres.

Director Yoon pointed out, "If there are too many comic lines, it becomes difficult for the two characters' emotional lines to appear as if they develop into romance."

He added, "It was based on an unrealistic story. However, we made an effort to depict the process of two people, each carrying their own pain, falling in love as convincingly as possible."

Finally, the director said, "The characters' individuality is as distinct as the unique setting, and you will feel great charm in the process of different characters growing together."

Jung Yong-hwa said, "There are so many entertaining elements that you could get 20 clips per episode, and viewers will be able to enjoy and laugh comfortably."

Meanwhile, "Endlessly, You" airs its first episode on the 24th at 10:50 p.m.
