[Dispatch=Lee Myoung-ju Reporter] SEVENTEEN's new unit Jeonghan X Joshua invited audiences on a journey of dreams.
Jeonghan X Joshua uploaded the music video for "12 o'clock," the title track from their mini first album "Dreamscape," to the HYBE Labels YouTube channel on the 19th.
The video runs approximately 2 minutes and 28 seconds. It captures Jeonghan X Joshua's journey pursuing their object of desire, moving between noon and midnight, in a dreamlike mise-en-scène.
Familiar spaces were distorted. A surrealist production completed the fantastical visuals through rails crossing a field, a warped train car, and endlessly connected rooms.
The creature in the music video is also noteworthy. This creature is a fictional form combining a peacock symbolizing wisdom and the ouroboros that devours its own tail.
It represents Jeonghan X Joshua pursuing ideals while moving between reality and fantasy. Throughout the video, scenes of peacock feathers scattering and images mixing ideals and the unconscious appear.
"12 o'clock" is a dance rock-based song that reinterprets 1970s-80s disco and punk in a contemporary manner. Bouncy bass and rhythmic guitar play harmonize.
Meanwhile, Jeonghan X Joshua will appear on various music broadcasts starting with Mnet's "M Countdown" on the 22nd. Unit performances are also scheduled.
