[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] Singer-songwriter Lee Jae (34, real name Kim Eun-jae) had a surprise wedding in Korea with producer Samuel Kim (Sam Kim).
According to American Vogue, the two held their wedding ceremony at Stage 28 in Gangdong-gu, Seoul on the 17th. They moved up the ceremony by approximately one month from the originally planned schedule.
The couple had postponed their wedding due to Netflix film "K-pop Demon Hunters" promotions and award ceremonies. A California ceremony had been scheduled for next month.
However, after discussion, they decided to hold the wedding in Korea. The couple chose the former residence site of actor Shin Young-gyun, Lee Jae's maternal grandfather, as their wedding venue.
Lee Jae told the media, "We only had four months to prepare. There was stress, but thanks to everyone working together, we were able to prepare perfectly."
Lee Jae and Sam Kim first met during a songwriting session in May 2017. They maintained a romantic relationship over the following eight years. Sam Kim proposed last June, after which they became engaged.
Meanwhile, Lee Jae gained recognition by composing and performing the "K-pop Demon Hunters" OST "Golden." She also won a Grammy Award trophy for "Golden."
