[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myeong-ju] ENHYPEN has been recognized for their efforts in a global blood donation campaign.
On the 22nd, ENHYPEN met with Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), at HYBE's headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
This meeting was arranged following ENHYPEN's blood donation promotion activities. They shared their experience of encouraging fan participation through music as a medium.
ENHYPEN also participated in blood donations directly. Adding meaning to the sharing of life. Director-General Tedros praised their initiative.
He then said, "Blood is a gift of life," and "I am proud of the ENHYPEN members who have dedicated themselves to encouraging blood donation and saving lives."
ENHYPEN responded, "We are grateful that ENGENE worldwide participated. We want to continue creating meaningful change with our fans."
ENHYPEN launched a blood donation campaign in January coinciding with the release of their mini 7th album "The Sinking: Banish." They collaborated with the Korean Red Cross to encourage blood donation.
They conducted both online and offline activities. Blood donation buses were placed in areas where fans gather, and online events were held for participants nationwide.
The results were remarkable. A total of 7,730 people participated in blood donation (as of January 16-25). First-time blood donors numbered 1,031, a 19-fold increase compared to the previous period.
In June, they partnered with WHO. ENHYPEN released content raising awareness about the importance of securing safe blood on the occasion of "World Blood Donor Day."
