[Dispatch=Reporter Lee A-jin] ILLIT is drawing attention from global listeners even before their comeback.
According to global music platform Spotify, ILLIT ranked first on the 'Pre-Save Top 10' chart on the 23rd with their mini fifth album 'BREAK EVEN'.
Pre-save is a function to register for new release alerts. It is one of the indicators that can gauge the level of interest from global listeners before an artist's comeback.
The number of pre-saves for 'BREAK EVEN' exceeded 500,000. This is among the highest records for K-pop girl group albums.
The response to the title track 'Arrest' is also hot. ILLIT made their debut performance of the new song at the concert 'Press Start Encore in Korea' held on the 17th and 18th.
The stage video entered YouTube's 'Daily Popular Music Video' chart on the 22nd. It charted in a total of 13 countries and regions. These include South Korea, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
It is also gaining popularity on short-form platforms. The 'Arrest' preview audio ranked fifth on Instagram's 'Reels Trending Audio Chart' on the 22nd.
Meanwhile, ILLIT will release their new album on the 26th at 6 p.m.
